· One personal visit to your place or mine (in the Jacksonville, FL area) to identify your needs.

· Up to 8 photos or clipart images displayed in your site. You furnish the images as JPG files to me via e-mail.

· Your site will be up and running in less than a week’s time- no under-construction notices on your site.

· Your site will be placed on a free web hosting site. Note that this does have 3 disadvantages: (1) your website name will contain the name of the hosting site (e.g., Tripod) in your website’s name; (2) Pop-up ads will appear when someone first logs onto the site. The ad will disappear whenever a key is pressed or the mouse is moved. Savvy PC users who have pop-up blocker software installed on their PC's won't encounter this problem. (3) Ads will appear at the top of the screen of the home page. I had my humor and wisdom website on a free hosting site for 7 years and no one ever complained about the above 3 disadvantages. You can elect, instead to have your site placed on a hosting site that is not free. The pay-web-hosting site I am currently using charges $35.88 per year. You will make these payments to a company that I am not affiliated with. With a pay site you will also need to pay for a domain name--that will run $5.99 per year. These payments also go to a company I am not affiliated with.

· I will announce the completed website to the Google search engine so that your users can find your site by searching on key words. I can’t guarantee that Google will list your site, but other sites I have announced to Google have been listed with them and highly ranked by Google, as detailed, below.

My guarantee: After I post your site to the web, tell me within 5 business days if you like what you see or not. If you don’t, I will take the site down from the web and you will owe me nothing for my unsuccessful efforts to develop a site for you that you like. If you accept the site within the 5 day trial period, then the sale is final and the fee is due. If you later want changes to the site, see the website maintenance paragraph, below.

My qualifications as a website designer include: a master’s degree in business, more than 20 years of experience in professional writing, and a high level of computer literacy and PC skills. I also teach Web Site Design at the University of North Florida. I am not, however, a computer programmer; and if what you want done is beyond what I can do, I will tell you so. At present I am not doing shopping carts or doing my own web hosting.
